Need Motivation? Words of Wisdom to Shake up the Mind

need motivationEveryone has those weeks where they feel like they haven’t been the least bit productive, their creativity juices are dry, and it’s almost painful to complete any task. There are endless factors to why you might be feeling this way, but how do you get out of this funk? Here are some of my favorite motivational quotes!

When it rains, it pours. Sometimes when one thing goes wrong it dominos into other aspects of your life and you feel like you can’t get a grip. We logically want to be able to understand why things are happening to us or around us but lets face it, we’ll never be able to understand everything. Keeping positive thoughts flowing through your mind is the first step in feeling better. Obviously keeping positive thoughts is harder in some situations than others but if you can change your thoughts you can change your life.

It sounds so cliche but think about it… If you are always trying to fit other people’s standards, how can you stand out? The wonderful journey of life is about challenging yourself, being uncomfortable and discovering your strengths. If you are always looking to other people for validation, happiness will forever elude you. That feeling of validation from other people only lasts for so long. Do what makes you truly happy.

Being in this limbo of feeling unmotivated is the best time to try something new and drastic. Shake things up! Get moving. That crazy idea you’ve been tossing around your brain? Take the first step. Maybe you’ll find out that it really is crazy and not something you want after all but guess what? Now you have more knowledge and experience from doing so. I bet you’re not feeling unmotivated anymore. You’ll probably even feel like you have more direction in the tasks you should be doing.
